Just in time for voting in the 3rd Annual Designer Toy Awards (DTAs), we're proud to announce several new additions to the DTA Judging Board. We are delighted that these distinguished and knowledgeable members of the art and toy community accepted our invitation to join our prestigious board, whose votes decide the winners of the awards in the majority of categories.

The Finalists in each of the Designer Toy Awards's categories have now been officially announced! Congradulations to one and all. The Winner in each category will be announced at the 3rd Annual DTA ceremony in New York City on October 12th, 2013 (during New York Comic-Con weekend).

The nine Finalists in each category of the Designer Toy Awards have been announced and the winner in each will be revealed at our 3rd Annual DTA Ceremony in New York City on October 12th, 2013 (during New York Comic-Con weekend).

The Super Sucklord, who will host the ceremony and is known not only as an integral member of our scene but also a contestant from Bravo's Work of Art: The Next Great Artist television show, has recorded a video announcing all the Finalists!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 23rd, will see the announcement of the 3rd Annual Designer Toy Awards's Finalists! The announcement will be made via video, featuring the host of this years's awards ceremony, The Super Sucklord! 

The video will be posted tomorrow at 12pm EST and voting will open at 3pm EST!

Thank you to all who contributed to the Designer Toy Awards by casting your vote! As of today, voting is officially closed. Finalists will be revealed on Tuesday, July 23rd. 

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful nominations in the 3rd Annual Designer Toy Awards! Now the difficult part begins and we need your help to do it… The next stage of the awards is to create the Shortlist of 2013's FINALISTS and this is where YOU come in!

With two years of the Designer Toy Awards under our belt, we continue to learn and grow based on what we have found has worked and what has not. In response to some of the most common comments about our process, we've radically restructured the entire nomination, voting, and finalist procedure to help ensure quality winners while still garnering input from the entire community.

First off, we're making the eligibility period for nominees completely year based: if it came out in 2012, then it can be nominated for the 2013 DTAs. No more worrying about what month it was released in… if...

During the 2nd Annual Designer Toys Awards ceremony, held in New York City on October 13th, 2012, not all of the winners were able to be present so we had some of those we knew would be in abstentia record video acceptance speeches for us.
